AGIS introduced recertification so that older paper titles could be checked and reissued on the new computerised system. Holders submitted their documents and, once verified, received new certificates.
If you are buying a property with an older title, ask whether it was recertified. Titles that were never recertified can be harder to verify and may need extra work before consent is possible.
