Carcass

Also called Shell, Shell and core

A building with its structure and roof in place but no finishes.

A carcass building has walls, floors and roof but no plastering, fittings, electrics or finishes. Buyers choose it to save money upfront and finish to their own taste.

Budget carefully: finishing can cost a large share of the total, and quality depends on who you hire.
